Progress update.

Well hello there for today...

I've been a busy little bee the past few days. I was let out of hospital yesterday and spent the afternoon knitting away. I finished the back of my new jumper. Unfortunately that's all I can do for now until I can get the rest of the wool off layby. Hopefull that will be in a week or two's time.

Here are some photos of the jumper in progress. 1st photo is of the actual pattern and the second on is the back of the jumper totally finished. I'm quite proud of it so far.

Next thing to do is to finish off the longies that I've started knitting for Harrison. Better get on to them. Till next time.....

Winter Jumper...

Well I've finally bit the bullet and decided to knit myself a nice jumper for Winter. I went out to spotlight this morning to look for some wool for a pair of longies for Harrison, but ended up finding a really nice pattern book. Of course one look through the patterns in there, I fell in love with this one. Although I'm doing it in blue. It's been soo long since I've gone out and bought proper wool for a project, usually I just get the cheap acrylic stuff, and that does me for what I need. But this time round, I thought I'd better do the job properly. To be honest though, I didn't expect it to cost so much. Ah well such is life.

I'm about a 1/3 of the way up the back, being that the wool is almost 16ply, and the needles are 8mm, it's growing quite quickly. I'll try and get some piccies of it in the next day or two as I get a bit more done.

I've also just completed a pair of longies for a friend. They are quite good for my first go at them, and Bec just loves them. Her son looks just adorable in them. Which is why I decided to make a pair for Harrison. I bought some dark blue, and light blue wool today. I'm going to make him a pair of double blue (Sturt) pants. If they turn out ok, then I might give them a go in Crows colours or something. Just have to wait and see.

That's about it this time. I'll be back in a few weeks when I've totally recovered from my operation which is tomorrow. Take care.. xoxoxo

1st ever post!!!!

Hey.. Well here I am, finally have a Blog spot.

Not sure how often I'll get in to write on here considering I have two little boys. James who is 20 months old, and Harrison who is 10 weeks old. Life has been VERY hectic to say the least since Harrison came into our lives. I'm slowly getting into a routine with both boys, which I can guarantee will go out the window when my step daughters come to visit. Ah well, routines are made to be broken at times.

I'm finally getting back into my cross stitch and other craft stuff. It's just taken me the last 4 months that we've been here in Adelaide to find them out of boxes that still havent' been unpacked. I found out 1 of the projects that I had started working on 5 years ago, it's a picture of Rich's late grandfather that I converted into a cross stitch pattern. Unfortunately though, during the move I've lost the rest of the pattern, so it's going to have to remain unfinished now. Which is a real shame, considering I spent HOURS upon HOURS working on it.
Well must be off, have things to do and children to take care of.
Be back later.
Gail.
